Body lift Model for Dr John Lomonaco

Houston Houston Upper Body Lift Surgeon - Dr John Lomonaco

Upper Body Lift

Upper Body Lift is a signature procedure developed by Dr. LoMonaco which simultaneously addresses skin laxity and sagging of the arms, axilla (armpit) area, side of chest, and breast. The procedure was developed after Dr. LoMonaco recognized that patients with one area of skin laxity usually had adjoining areas which were also in need of tightening. These, he reasoned, were best treated as a single deformity with a single coordinated operation.

The procedure uses one incision to simultaneously lift the breast, tuck the excess bra roll skin , and also remove the hanging arm and armpit skin.

The procedure is almost always done as a single stage, but sometimes two stages may be done, depending on the patients desires. Sometimes patients will opt for a breast implant, which can be placed at the time of the original procedure, or some time later. Upper body lift can be combined with liposuction to further sculpt the results.

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. This can produce a trimmer appearance and significantly aid in the fit of clothing, Symptoms of skin irritation can also be relieved by an arm lift..

Patients who want to tighten the arm skin may benefit from liposuction alone or in conjunction with an arm lift. Sometimes, a short-scar arm lift may also be done, depending on the amount of excess skin. Short-scar arm lift is usually reserved for patients who only have excess skin near the armpit area.

The scars from an arm lift are located on the back of the arms, and are partially hidden in almost all social situations. As with any surgery that produces visible scars, the scars from brachioplasty may be a good tradeoff for patients troubled by large amounts of excess arm skin.
