SmartLipo MPX ®

SmartLipo is one of several techniques that use a laser to liquefy fat and tighten the skin. Until recently, the available systems were limited in power to under 20 watts. While they effectively melted fat to a degree, the skin tightening effect was minimal. Cynosure has now developed the SmartLipo MPX ® system, which has several revolutionary features.

More power to melt fat and tighten skin

The main advantage of the new system is the amount of power available, which is nearly double the first-generation machines. The new, higher powered systems also require less treatment time during the actual procedure, because the energy can be applied to the tissues more efiiciently.

 

Enhanced Patient Safety

Secondly, the system has 2 safety features to help ensure a more even result. The newer machines sense the movement of the surgeons hand, and will shut off the laser when movement stops. This dramatically lowers the chance of an area being over-treated, or of developing a burn. The other safety feature is a temperature sensor at the tip of the probe, which precisely regulates the amount of energy absorbed by the tissues and automatically stops the laser from firing once a certain temperature is reached.

SmartLipo MPX ® is a valuable tool that can help patients achieve the results they desire with less pain, swelling, bruising, and downtime. The laser seals off small blood vessels and selectively melts fat, which lessens the trauma to the tissues.
